During the thirty plus years that David has spent in his logistics career he made several changes in the development of vehicle design and load consolidation. One of the major introductions being the design, build and introduction of multi-temperature trailers with the capability of carrying three different temperature bands in any sequence thus reducing transportation cost.

David has spent time developing systems in the environmental sectors and providing distribution services to local authorities throughout Britain for systems used in re-cycling waste. He has, more recently, introduced a re-cycling system for end-of-life waste containers and these are now collected, handled, cleansed and granulated to be returned to the industry in manufacture of new waste containers. David is well recognised within the waste industry and his name is synonymous with the provision of effective implementation programmes.

One of the founders of CKN Holdings Ltd over 10 years ago, the parent company of CK Distribution. As well as his role as Managing Director, Mark has an impressive 25 years experience in the plastic recycling industry.

Although John has only been in the industry for 6 years, in that time he has overseen the delivery of over half a million products to households throughout the UK both within budget and, perhaps more importantly, on time and in a safe manner.

Through working with David Barber they have formed a close working relationship
together to ensure that each customer is always left happy and fully satisfied.

  • David Barber has provided Plastic Omnium with a high number of very satisfactorily carried out wheeled bin distribution programmes. Two recent examples of such schemes where he worked closely with us and carried out the distribution to households on our behalf were: Approximately 120,000 bins for City of Coventry Council.
    Approximately 100,000 bins to East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
    Both of these large projects were not only completed on time but also within budget and, most importantly, in a very professional and competent manner.


    David has worked alongside Plastic Omnium for almost 20 years and has been a good and reliable partner to us for such schemes. Based on our previous experience of working with David I would have no hesitation in recommending David and his team in carrying out this kind of work.
